Welcome to Dog Food Ratings

hungry puppyYou want the best for your dog, but how do you choose the best dog food and dog snacks for your dog?  Dog Food Ratings answers many of the questions that you might have.  Should you feed your dog wet food or dry food?  Can a dog eat a vegetarian diet?  Is the raw food diet known as BARF dangerous or advantageous?

When you are buying food for your dog you should look for a brand that can provide her with the highest amount of nutrition while containing the lowest amount of fillers and unnecessary ingredients.

Dog Food Ratings examines different types of diets for your dog and helps you evaluate the best food for your dog--whether you choose dry kibble, wet canned food, or make your dog's food at home.

With new brands popping up all the time, we don't try to rate every single dog food on the market today.  Instead, we give you the information to evaluate each dog food that you come across.  For specific brand suggestions, look at the dry and wet food sections of this site.  We list many of our favorite brands that you can get at pet food stores throughout the country.

Unfortunately, not every person has access to pet food stores.  We do not rate brands that are found in grocery stores because we believe in suggesting only the best brands for your pet.  If you must buy your dog food from a grocery store, read the ingredients lists carefully and choose wet food instead of dry kibble.

Feeding your dog a healthy diet can increase their lifespans, improve their health, and give them a healthy and shiny coat.  While it is important to feed the best food possible to your canine, premium dog food can be expensive.  Don't feel guilty if you can't afford the best.  Feed your dog the best that you can afford and give your dog plenty of love and exercise and you will have a healthy and happy dog
